Hey my loves,
I needed a new foundation, and I love drugstore foundations. Especially the L’Oréal Perfect Match. As I was walking in Rossmann searching for the L’Oréal foundation, I saw the new Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation, so I ended up buying that, instead of the L’Oréal one.
The price of this foundation is around 7 €, but this time they were selling the Catrice foundation together with their Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer, for the same price. Which is amazing! I’ve been using this concealer for such a long time now and I’m loving it.
So, today I will be reviewing both products. If you want to see more, continue reading. 🙂
The foundation comes in a very nice packaging. It’s made out of matte glass and it has a little pipette or dropper applicator, which instantly gives you an idea of the texture of the product inside.
This foundation comes in a bottle filled with 30ml of product. This is very average and therefore totally fine. The foundation comes in 4 different shades , 010 Light Beige, 020 Rose Beige, 030 Sand Beige, 040 Warm Beige. I purchased 010 Light Beige, and I need to say that it is a bit darker than my neck, but really a tiny bit, so it’s not a big deal.
Catrice HD liquid coverage foundation claims the following:
- It’s a long wear foundation that will last up to 24 hours
- It has a natural look and feel
- It provides high coverage
- second skin effect
Those are quite big promises, and all together it sounds like a pretty interesting and amazing product. Especially the mattifying part.
Coverage wise this is a great product. It definitely has medium to full coverage and that is something I love about it. I don’t have the best skin in the world and that’s why I like using full coverage foundations. I think it looks really pretty and I like having clear skin when I’m wearing makeup.
When it comes to application I personally prefer applying it with the Beauty Blender. I’ve tried using a brush too, which worked really nice as well and actually provided a bit more coverage, but the Beauty Blender is better for this foundation in my opinion because it applies the foundation in a more flawless and seamless way.
Overall I’m a big fan of the Catrice HD liquid coverage foundation. I love how perfect the color is for me even though there isn’t so many shades you can choose from. I also really like how weightless and natural it feels on the skin while providing quite amazing coverage. I absolutely love it!
I always have very bad dark circles, whether I’ve had a good night sleep or not, they’ll always be there. Therefore a good under eye concealer is a must for me. The past few months I have been in love with the Catrice liquid camouflage high coverage concealer, so I’ve decided to tell you more about it.
The concealer comes in a pretty typical concealer packaging. It’s just like most other liquid concealers and lipglosses. I do really like the way it looks though. I feel like Catrice did pretty well when it comes to giving their packagings a professional and good look. Even though I like somewhat more exciting packagings too, this ain’t bad at all. The tube is pretty long and contains 5,0 ml, which is just average.
The first thing about this concealer that stood out to me is the fact that it claims to be waterproof. A waterproof concealer, that’s pretty amazing, but I wasn’t too convinced that it was actually true. Besides the waterproof claim, Catrice also promises that this concealer has high coverage, that it’s ultra long lasting and that it’s perfect for camouflaging under-eye circles, spots and even tattoo’s. That’s quite a big thing to promise!
Let’s start off with the waterproof part. I can already tell you that’s not completely true. It’s not like you can put this on, go swimming and still have this on your face afterwards. That’s not what this is like. However, it does survive a bit of rain, tears and sweat and in general it stays in place pretty well. But waterproof is just not the right word for it, that’s all.
When it comes to the high coverage part I have mixed feelings. Yes, the coverage is pretty impressive compared to all other drugstore concealers I have ever tried, but I feel like high coverage is something different. I would say it’s more like medium to high coverage.
Something I do really like about this concealer is the scent. It smells kind of perfume like. On one hand I really like that about it, but on the other hand it could suggest that there is quite a bit of perfume in this concealer, which is pretty bad for your skin, especially for your delicate under eye area.
But all together this concealer didn’t let me down at all. The coverage is impressive and I really like that it’s such a thin and easily blendable product. When it comes to drugstore concealers I definitely think this one is one of the best ones out there.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which drugstore foundation and concealer you love using!
Have a nice day
