Hey my loves ❤
I’m always on the hunt for some good powders, thanks to my super oily skin! I’ve bought the Manhattan Soft Mat Loose Powder months ago. And I realized it’s time to review it.
So, let’s get started.
After a few weeks of use I’m well and truly converted. It controls the shinies on my T zone without looking cakey, makes my makeup last longer, and minimizes the look of pores.
I like to dip my large powder brush into the product, swirl it around the inside of the cap to distribute it evenly on the brush, and tap off the excess so ensure I don’t overapply. Then I lightly dust it on my T zone and the area around my nose.
It sets my concealer very very well, it doesn’t cake up or settle in fine lines and most importantly it doesn’t leave me looking ghostly.
As you can see in the image below, this powder is a nice pale beige color, rather than white, which for me personally is perfect as i find white translucent powders leave me looking rather too pale.
Another quality this powder has is it’s perfect for ‘baking’, it’s absolutely the one for this technique. Baking for those of you who don’t know, is letting translucent powder sit on your face for five to ten minutes whilst you carry on with your makeup, this allows the heat from your face to set your base foundation and concealer. You then dust it off your face, leaving you with a creaseless and flawless finish.
